It’s a relatively young company, begun in 2004, when, at an incredibly young age, Eleneora Valentino became the owner of her father-in-law’s farm, with the intent of making the most of the pre-existing citrus and olive groves, while expanding the company’s horizons - even abroad. From this comes the company’s current name: Valentino Eleonora. The company headquarters is in Mineo, in the province of Catania.
The farm produces citrus fruits (tarocco and navellina oranges) and also handles the marketing, relying on the organisation of OP producers.
Marketing occurs mostly at fruit and vegetable markets within Italy, but also abroad - particularly in Switzerland.
The olive grove mainly consists of age-old tonda iblea variety olive trees, the harvesting of the fruit is done
rigorously by hand, while the extraction of the oil is carried out by a continuous cycle at low temperatures.
The result is a superior-quality extra-virgin olive oil, obtained directly from the olives, solely by means of mechanical processes.
The company, seeking to challenge itself with producing high-quality extra-virgin olive oil with the 2008/2009 production, produced the oil and named it “Baudilli”, and it achieved the DOP Monti Iblei certification. At the “Olio Capitale 2009” exposition in Trieste, the “Baudilli” extra-virgin olive oil, made by the Valentino Eleonora Agricultural Company was awarded First Place in the Light Yield Category.
