In the Catania Province, between Etna and the plane of Simeto River, the Turismo Rurale Fontana del Cherubino is settled in a land where traditional olive and orange agriculture has traditionally carried out. Fontana del Cherubino started in 2004, with the aim of promoting and spreading the quality of our most important product: the high-quality extra-virgin olive oil of the Etna territory. We also opened our restaurant, deeply linked with traditional seasonal and regional ingredients but re-interpreted in a modern way.

The restaurant is open in the weekends and on holyday days, as well as, by reservation, for particular events. Our menu changes every week, and is based on traditional sicilian tradition, updated and reviewed in a contemporary modern ways.fontanacherubino_img3

Dishes are always prepared with seasonal products coming directly from our farm (potatoes, onions, vegetables, salads, olives, oranges, indian fig trees, eggs, wine) or from Sicilian area, espousing the "Zero Kilometre” philosophy that minimizes costs and environmental impacts due to transport..

The restaurant has 3 rooms of different dimensions, for up to 80 person. The bigger room is also equipped with an audio system and video projector and it can host meetings, conferences and workshop.

A beautiful and wide terrace with a view on the Simeto river valley is the ideal place to join a sunny lunch or romantic dinner, in a peaceful atmosphere of the Etna countryside.

Fontana del Cherubino also produces extra-virgin olive oil, Olio del Cherubino, characterized  by very low acidity rate. It is made olives from old trees of Nocellara Etna cultivar (some more than 100 years old).

Olio Extra Vergine d'Oliva - Fontana del Cherubino

Our extra-virgin olive oil is got from old olive trees of Nocellara Etna cultivar (some more than 100 years old!!). Olives are precociously and manually harvested at the 2nd half of October to get a less yield and consequent high quality oil (acidity less than 0,2%).
