Born in 1968 from the skilful knowledge of plants and aromatic herbs it began to produce Mandarinetto dell'Etna, the explosive liquor with an alcohol content of 45, unique in its kind, not too sweet and not too dry.
Presented in 1974 at BIBE, the specialised trade
show in Genoa, together with the Sicilian jar, a typical Sicilian amphora, hand-painted with the Madarinetto dell’Etna and the Amaro Bellini inside, immediately won the affection of everyone who tasted it, so much so to induce a special jury of experts to award the Mandarinetto dell’Etna the 1st International Award – 1974 Mappmondo d’oro.
That encouraged the company to launch a plan to increase production with the use of new systems.
At the same time a line for the production of syrups, semi-liquid almond milk, almond past and almond cream for granitas and almond milk was installed.
