The agricultural firm Liuzzo Michele, placed between Adrano and Bronte, spreads for nearly 30 hectares. The firm has a strong vocation for the organic farming and produces pistachios, oil and, just in small quantities, almonds, citrus fruits and prickly pears. The pistachio produced by our farm is the excellent pure Bronte’s pistachio, well-known all over the world for its colour and unmistakable taste.
We produce an extra-virgin organic oil that since five years can boast the Mount Etna P.D.O. recognition.
Moreover, since more or less one year the agricultural firm Liuzzo Michele rears the famous Black Sicilian pig breed, in a six- hectares wood in the Etna Park, at 1.200 metres above sea level. The presence of this pig farm on the Etna land has allowed the A.N.A.S. (National Association of Pigs’ Breeders) to acknowledge our pigs as Black Etna Pigs.
Suino nero - Allevamento Nero Siciliano
This meat, so natural and savoury, is very requested and appreciated and it is produced with great care and skill in order to guarantee an organic product of high quality. We produce a thick meat veined with beautiful brown fat, and a pink lean lard. Eating our meat and our salami, unique and non-synthetic, makes you discover the scent and flavours of Sicily.
